CVE-2026-101767
Overview
This vulnerability is an authentication bypass within the Oracle Application Object Library component of Oracle E-Business Suite. The root cause lies in improper validation of unauthenticated HTTP requests, allowing network-based attackers to access protected functionality without credentials. The flaw affects versions 12.2.3 through 12.2.15 of the Oracle Application Object Library core component.
Vulnerability Description
Vulnerability in the Oracle Application Object Library product of Oracle E-Business Suite (component: Core). Supported versions that are affected are 12.2.3-12.2.15. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise Oracle Application Object Library. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in takeover of Oracle Application Object Library. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 9.8 (Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H).
Impact
An unauthenticated attacker with network access can fully compromise the Oracle Application Object Library, gaining unauthorized administrative control over the affected component. This allows complete takeover of the application, including unauthorized access to sensitive data, modification of system configurations, and disruption of availability. No authentication or user interaction is needed to exploit this vulnerability, enabling remote attackers to execute attacks that can lead to full system compromise and potential lateral movement within the enterprise environment.
Solution
Oracle has released security updates addressing this vulnerability in the October 2026 Critical Patch Update advisory, detailed at https://www.oracle.com/security-alerts/cpuoct2026.html. Administrators should apply the patches specifically for Oracle Application Object Library versions 12.2.3 through 12.2.15 as outlined in the advisory. No alternative workarounds are provided; timely application of the official patches is required to remediate this issue.
